제자 훈련 1 단계 공부를 마치고

벌써 금요일 주말이 되었습니다. 요즘 수요 저녁 기도 모임에서는 제자 훈련 1 단계 공부를 하고 있습니다. 벌써 10번째 시간으로 1단계 제자 훈련 과정을 마쳤습니다. 구원, 기도, 승리, 회개, 인도, 예수 그리스도, 하나님 속성, 성령님, 성경, 그리고 교회에 대해서 한 가지 씩 10 주 동안 한 목사님과 재미있게 배우고 토론하고, 노래하고 기도했습니다. 구 집사님은 성구 암송도 잘 하셨습니다. 한 목사님 기타 반주로 "나의 남은 생애는" 과 "하나님의 은혜" 두 복음 성가도 배웠습니다. 아주 은혜로운 복음 성가이었습니다. 최근에는 전 득진 집사님까지 참석해주셔서 힘이나고 기뻤습니다. 수요일 저녁에 가니까 아마 미국 형제들이 낮에 수요 모임을 갖고 제가 늘 앉는 자리에 카피한 종이 몇장을 놓고 갔습니다. 그냥 읽어봤는데 재미있는 이야기가 있어 혼자 웃다가 성도님들과 나누어도 재미있을 것 같아 소개하려고 합니다. 제자 훈련 1 단계 공부하신 분들 수고하셨습니다. 번역하지 않고 그대로 옮깁니다.
The minister was preoccupied with thoughts of how he was going to ask the congregation to come up with more money than they were expecting for repairs to the church building.
Therefore, he was annoyed to find that the regular organist was sick and a substitute had been brought in at the last minute. The substitute wanted to know what to play.
"Here's a copy of the service," he said impatiently. "But, you'll have to think of something to play after I make the announcement about the finance."
During the service, the minister paused and said,"Brothers and Sisters, we are in great difficulty; the roof repairs cost twice as much as we expected and we need $4,000 more. Any of you who can pledge $100 or more, please stand up."
At that moment, the substitute organist played "The Star Spangled Banner."
And that is how the substitute became the regular organist!!

To get some humor out of life.
참고로 미국에서는 미국 애국가인 The Star Spangled Banner가 연주되면 다 자리에서 일어나서 서게되어있습니다.
